Gargon Qoherys, a fat and foolish man of lusty appetite, was the grandson of Quenton Qoherys and the second and last Lord of Harrenhal of his house, succeeding directly to the seat when Quenton died in 9 AC. He made a habit of attending every wedding in his domain to claim the lord's right to the first night, and made free with the wives and daughters of his own servants, earning him the mocking name Gargon the Guest. During the rebellion of Harren the Red in 37 AC, the father of a maid Gargon had deflowered opened the gates of Harrenhal to the outlaws; they dragged Gargon from his bed to the castle godswood, where Harren cut off his genitals and fed them to a dog while he bled to death. As the sole living Qoherys, his death extinguished the house, and Harrenhal passed to House Harroway. Queen Alysanne Targaryen later cited his fate when she argued for abolishing the right of the first night, as recorded in Fire & Blood and The World of Ice & Fire.
